Mahjong Solitaire is a classic form of the game, and resembles the first games that were ever made for the computer. The game uses tiles and there were no penalties for asking for hints, and once the moves ended, there was no way you could shuffle the tiles; you had to start all over. This free online version has a lovely interface and very sharp graphics and you will enjoy playing it to the hilt. The rule of the game is to remove tiles in pairs that are identical. Getting identical pairs is not a problem; the problem is getting those that are free; those that do not have other tiles to either the left or the right side. When the game begins, you are presented with a map that has several points linked by a dotted line, when you select any of them, you will see a layout, and you are supposed to decide which ones you will play first; after you are done with a layout, it will be marked and you have to play the others. Basically, you will have to go through all the layouts before you can complete the game and place your score. It is possible to use the hint button when you run into a crux when you are looking for more tiles to match; this will cost you some points so use it sparingly. When the game shows you that you do not have any more moves, then you can opt to shuffle the tiles, and this will provide you with more tiles, or you can decide to restart the game; using the shuffle button also causes you to lose points. Sometimes restarting the game will allow you to change your strategy, and this is a great way of building your mental capacity to solve different problems that occur in the same way.
