Dinosaur Hexajong introduces a new aspect to the game of mahjong. You get to play mahjong using hexagons instead of the normal square tiles. This feature brings a new meaning to the rule of pairing tiles that have at least one side free. When using hexagons, it is much easier to remove the tikes since they have more side, and chances of one having a free side are higher. This is a game that you simply play by instinct until you get used to the idea of using the hexagons. The game is pretty fast and easy to play because it has very many similar tiles. However, you will have to race against time; you are given two minutes to complete all the tiles in a level or else the game shuts you down. If you have other matters to attend to, you can use the pause button to stop the game temporarily until you can come back. If the game shuts you down, you will have to start all the way from the 1st level, even if you had advanced to the 4th level. If you happen to get stuck, you can use the hint button to highlight any matching pair. This will however, set you back by 250 points which is a steep price to pay. If there are no more matching pairs, you can use the shuffle button to free up more matching tiles; the use of this button will set you back by 500 points, so it should only be used as a last resort. Playing this game is a mind opener as to the various shapes that can be used to create mahjong games; probably soon there will be one that uses triangles as tiles. This would probably be a hard game to play since there will be less free edges on the tiles.
